Apparently there's some football thingy on. What does that mean for me? Well I'm probably going to increase my knitting output over the next few weeks. Which is a good thing because it's taken me a month to finish this.
I won't even tell you how many times I had to rip it back and start again. I got there in the end though and I'm happy with how it came out. It's my first time knitting an actual wearable garment - hats and scarfs don't count. The pattern is the Little Daisy Cardi from 'The third little Sublime hand knit book' and I thought it was ok to follow. I find knitting patterns ambiguous I think because I'm a beginner knitter and I get myself tied up in knots sometimes. I'm sure I'll get better though. I used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino which I bought on sale somewhere - I think it's shade 202. It has a lovely feel. I'm all fired up to try the long-sleeved version now but I think I would make it a bit longer.
