As season go, autumn is a good 'un I would say. Cooler temperatures, snuggly clothes, cozy nights and um, well food.
Brodie saw a picture of toffee apples in a book and wanted to know what they were. Last weekend we made our own and they were ridiculously easy to make and look really pretty in an autumnish kind of way.
All you need are some wooden skewers or lolly sticks and some basic ingredients. This recipe is very close to the one we used. The satisfying crunch of toffee and kids with sticky cheeks are my new favourite things.
