I know all of you are scrapbooking and papercrafting geeks like me. Oh wait, that's not quite right is it? Ne'er mind, keep reading, just pretend you are.

Ali Edwards is like the coolest kid on the block when it comes to scrapbooking. She created One LIttle Word which is a workshop based around a word you choose to (for want of a better word) meditate over throughout the year. I'm not doing the workshop but I wanted to choose a word and get in on the action. Lots of bloggers I follow do and I'm fascinated to see what, if any influence my word will have over my thoughts and actions in 2014.

Still with me? If this is dangerously close to hippy, mumbo jumbo, claptrap for you that's cool but I'm still choosing a word.

My word is find. As in

to locate, attain, or obtain by search or effort: to find an apartment; to find happiness.

I want to find the best in things, I want to find the meaning in things. I want to tease out and find what exactly I'm meant to be doing. I want to search and find for a whole year and see where it takes me .I want my efforts to result in finding something I didn't know before.

The really bizarre thing is the minute you choose the word it appears to be all around you making itself known. It's enough to make me want to change my word to aardvark and meditate on that for a year just to see if random aardvarks will cross my path as I go about my business......

Fancy choosing a word? Share it with me please, I'd like that.
