Lots of my life used to be inspired by Pinterest. Now it's inspired by what I see on Instagram. I wish I was joking but sadly I'm not. What can I say - I'm very suggestible.
For a while not I've been seeing #Mothertee posts. I thought the t shirts looked really cool. What can I say - I'm suggestible and puddle deep. Then I discovered that the tees were sold through the Selfish Mother blogzine. And that a portion of the sale goes to Women for Women International. And I thought - Self, you should really buy one of these cool shirts, to you know - look cool - and feel good about making said purchase by contributing to a charity which helps women in war torn regions.
I plumped for a #Motherhoody in the end because what's better than a hoody? And I live in Scotland where hoodies are weather appropriate wear for 11.5 months of the year. I thought the kids might like to buy it for me as a birthday present. And they were delighted too - especially the non verbal child - he was very up for it.
You need some photos, yes?
I took the least poxy, most directable child with me, he makes a good prop. And handily because the photos are all of my back the fact I have tonsillitis, no make up and bad hair makes no odds. Look at the cute baby!
It's lovely and soft, cosy, made ethically, what's not to love?
