This Life

This week Grier has developed some serious sass. It's one of the less desireable effects of starting nursery I suppose. She's made some poor choices and used some words I'm less than keen on. Yes I am an old fuddy duddy but she turned 4 last week so I would like less teenage please. Thank you.

Today is day 30 of my second round of the Whole 30. It was easier this time, less of a shock and I realised that I'd carried much of what I learned forward from the last round. I'm feeling better and pretty positive about what happens next. And it doesn't involve falling headfirst into a giant cake (this time).

Baxter is getting about the place using a combo of rolling, scooching, creeping and a weird baby seal movement which appears to be unique to him. We're still waiting for the first tooth to break through so dealing with all the usual related unpleasantness. He is throwing a full scale fit everytime I have to get him into a car seat or buggy of highchair or any sort of sitting up really. It's a phase, it's a phase, it's a phase............

We have a long weekend coming up and I can't wait. It's not often Greig's holidays match up with our school holidays. I'm planning on bramble picking and knitting. And probably some other stuff too. If you have any blackberry recipes you'd like to share I'd love to see them:)

Grier created her own line of jewellery

this is brodie's star wars notebook. he's making plans for some new weapons and characters for the next movies. hear that george lucas?

i bought this print to make a little contribution to the syrian child refugee crisis and because it reminds me how lucky I am to tuck three little people safely into their beds each night. You can buy it here

no personality this one.......

since we all moved bedrooms we read bedtime books in our big bed. i can't believe i didn't do this before when I spent months last year trying to perch my hugely pregnant body somewhere on a teeny single bed with 42 assorted soft toys.

i managed to make gluten (but not dairy) free scones which were edible. and blackberry chia jam. yum.

daddy pile on. he loves it really:)
