Some people are suggesting that it's spring. Grier does not agree. She insists on having the buggy footmuff zipped all the way around her at all times. Even inside, when she has a jacket on. Whatevs. I hate to be cold too so I'm with her. And don't get her started on wind, she hates windy weather.
I wanted to take some 'special' photos of you the week you turned 5 Brodie but you thought that was a terrible idea. But you were content to sit on the sofa and talk about your favourite Angry Birds book while I snapped away so I guess I'll take what I can get. This is so you, mid monologue and ready to dive off and get into the next thing.
So if you could just pretend that the photos for weeks 5,6,7 were fabulous that would be great. I've had my camera back for a few days and it still feels a bit strange to pick it up again, like we need to become acquainted once more which I'm sure we will.
I love taking photos in the bathroom, all those white walls bounce light around like no-ones business so yesterdays middle of the day bath was the perfect opportunity. This was my favourite shot whilst being a little, how shall we say this, unsavoury? They were squirting water in each other's faces. Of course.
My Boy riding his pedal bike. On his own. Propelling himself through the world at speed. Be still my heart.
It's taken us a while to get here but once again Brodie has shown remarkable resilience, perseverance and his ability to roll with the punches. Brodie Cameron; swimmer, cyclist and philanthropist (he puts pennies in the plastic guide dog every week). What's next?
